The T-21B is designated as one of the three targeting rifles in Star Wars Battlefront.
The T-21B can be unlocked at rank 21 for 2,500 credits.
The T-21B functions as a sort of 'designated marksman rifle', it's the closest thing to a sniper rifle one can get in-game without star cards or the DLT-19X. As such, it rewards precision rather then spraying and praying. It's currently one of the two blasters that has the maximum range. In a pinch it can work at close range, but make your shots count, the weapon's low rate of fire means you can seldom afford to miss. This weapon is recommended for use at medium and long range. Long range especially is where this weapon truly shines.
Due to how the weapon damage is done, the T-21B will always kill with three (two if a headshot is achieved or direct impact hits with Explosive Shot at long or close range) shots regardless of where it hits even at extreme ranges, this can be a mixed blessing at longer ranges since it can kill much quicker than most weapons or a curse due to requiring three shots, plus the low ROF/heat per shot can doom players that miss.
The weapon builds up heat rather quickly if the player doesn't exercise caution, use of cards such as Cooling Cell can be useful if the player finds himself at range against enemy players.

This part of the Star Wars Battlefront wiki guide will help you hone your chops right out the gate through key tips and tricks.
Although it will take time to rank up to level 50, this IGN wiki guide will help you on your way to Star Wars Battlefront supremacy.
Watch this video for 10 great Battlefront tips or click on a section below to jump to a section on the page.
Hero Token Locations[edit]Star Wars Battlefront Targeting Rifle Streak
Like previous installments, Star Wars Battlefront allows individuals to control Heroes and Villains. These characters provide aid to allied players and can deal tons of damage if utilized correctly. In order for one to control a Hero or Villain, he or she must collect Hero Tokens, which are spread throughout the battlefield. Many players memorize the hero token locations. To help you do the same, check out the Hero Token Locations section, which has the spawn points for every hero token.
Best Early Weapons[edit]
Like most online multiplayer shooters, Star Wars Battlefront can be a little daunting to experience at first. Right out the gate, you are given a mediocre blaster rifle, which deals a decent amount of damage, but is far less powerful that most unlockable Weapons in the video game. This portion of the Tips and Tricks section of the IGN Star Wars Battlefront wiki guide will help you get your feet wet and blasting rebel scum in no time.
Right off the bat you're given the A280C, which is a decent weapon, but nowhere as good as other unlockables. The A280C blaster is good enough to help you reach level 2-3, but once you've reached that point in multiplayer I would advise you switch weapons immediately.
Once you have decided to move on from the A280C, purchasing the DLT-19 (550 credits) or the DH-17 (550 credits) would be recommended. Keep in mind the DLT-19 is meant for long-range attacks but lacks firepower when compared to the DH-17, which to be honest is the ideal piece of weaponry and deals significantly more damage at medium range.
Other weapon tips:
Charge Pickups[edit]
Utilizing charge cards on the battlefield will provide you with a great advantage over enemy opponents.
But using these cards will cost you charge points and eventually Imperial credits.
If you want to save yourself some credits, be sure to collect these items that are spread throughout the battlefield. Once you’ve collected these items, you can use them immediately or save them for later use.
Switching Perspective[edit]
Star Wars Battlefront allows players to switch between first-person and third-person perspectives.
Switching perspectives may change the way you play the video game and may improve the way you handle Weapons as well. This is how you change camera perspectives in Star Wars Battlefront:
Settings> Gameplay> Gameplay & Camera> Soldier Camera
Additionally, you can change perspective from first-person to third-person by holding the down button on the directional (D) pad. Whilst in third-person, you can swap shoulders by tapping down on the D-pad.
First Person
Third Person
Each visual perspective has its up’s and downs and certainly has its fair share of advantages.
For instance, those who opt into first-person perspective will possess better accuracy when firing optic Weapons at enemy soldiers. Whereas third person mode broadens awareness of one’s surroundings; making enemy visuals more obvious than the seclusion of first-person mode.
Lead Your Target[edit]
Star Wars Battlefront is a little different when compared to other titles within the genre.
What makes Star Wars Battlefront so different is that firing directly at an enemy isn’t exactly the best thing to do; especially when you are trying to fire at a moving target.
Rather than aiming down a target directly, lead your shot (fire a little bit in-front of the moving target) to ensure that your opponent is running into fire.
Evasive Maneuvers[edit]
During air combat, enemy fighters have the ability to shoot homing missiles directly at you.
The best way to get around these missiles is to use evasive maneuvers and barrel roll past them. Simply press the left or right direction pad in order to pull off this stylish trick during air combat. If you are waiting for your meter to recharge, try flying in a trench or near the ground which makes it harder for enemies to track you.
Damaging Heroes and Villains[edit]
Heroes and Villains are not the easy opponents to take out in Star Wars Battlefront. These figures possess a high attack power and equally impressive defense.
Going up against a Sith Lord armed a regular blaster isn't going to do the trick.
That said, it’s going to take a lot more to wipe these enemies out. So, what you are going to want to is this: Arm yourself with high powered explosives; as much as possible. Try using grenades and/or rocket launchers to chip damage off these opponents.
Use a Headset[edit]
Should you own a gaming headset; use it in Star Wars Battlefront. Most individuals who engage in Star Wars Battlefront combat are running and gunning, which is fine, but makes your awareness more know to others with headsets. If you listen closely during gameplay, footsteps are highly audible. This gives individuals with gaming headsets a huge advantage.
Stay Low[edit]
As mentioned in the 'Use a headset' section, individuals engaging in Star Wars Battlefront combat are mostly running and gunning. But if you want to be the best of the best, you have to stay low and frosty.
By pressing the B button on Xbox One or CIRCLE button on PlayStation 4, crouching will certainly keep you hidden and will definitely increase your kill-rate; awarding you more credits for unlockable items.
Best Loadouts[edit]
Star Wars Battlefront offers a variety of customizable loadouts for gamers.
This section of the IGN wiki guide will showcase a few of the best loadouts for select play-styles. These are just a few of the many Unlockables found within Star Wars Battlefront.
Thankfully, this particular loadout can be completed by Rank 13, and is effective in most settings - Primarily within close encountered combat.
The second loadout is slightly identical with the exception of one Star Card. This particular loadout is primarily used for outdoor and far range combat.
Weapon Cooling[edit]
Although blasters in Star Wars Battlefront do not use traditional ammunition, the video game replaces reloading with Weapon Cooling.
This task becomes increasingly difficult to accomplish should the individual successfully cool down their blaster.
Keep in mind, dying or failing to cool your weapon during combat will reset the cooling system.
Get into A Vehicle Pronto[edit]
Video: Piloting an AT-AT
If you're playing as the Empire on Hoth, hop into an AT-ST or AT-At the second you can. Imperial vehicles can absolutely dominate the early game and put the Alliance at a deficit that's hard to recover from.
Fighter Squadron Damage[edit]
Speeding around the map and trying your best to avoid enemy fire is a good thing, but so is out blasting enemy pilots.
The best way to inflict the most damage on enemy fighters is to reduce your aircraft's speed by using the left thumb-stick on your controller.
Although your slower speed will slightly cause you to be more vulnerable within the air-space, proceed to take out your current target, then utilize Evasive Maneuvers to out pace the fighter on your tail.
Pick-Ups[edit]
The Battlefield is littered with power-ups. You can grab special weapons which you activate with L1+R1 or the equivalent.
Auto-targeting rocket launchers make vehicle attacks much easier. Automated gun emplacements can close choke points
AT-ST Walkers are remarkably durable with three different modes of attack...don't hold back with the explosive options.
Cards and Upgrades[edit]
As you gain levels and points between matches you'll gain the ability to unlock new weapons and new cards. Cards are rechargeable special abilities you use to customize your loadout. You can have up to three active at any one time, . They range from jump packs to personal shields to ion upgrades that temporarily power up your blaster against hard targets like vehicles. You can also have a 'trait' card which bestows a passive ability, which doesn't take up one of your three slots. They can really make a difference, so save up those credits and buy one as soon as you can.
You'll gain the ability to purchase more cards with each level up, but you'll also need to expend points to unlock them. Gain points for accomplishments in matches, victories, etc, and customize your hand of cards to your play style.
Wondering why your Charge Card isn’t working? Make sure to pick up the Charge Points you see on the map. It’ll stack and carry over to other matches.
